What Our Lifetime Guarantee Covers
Our guarantee ensures your Mokume Gane ring will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the piece, subject to:
Proof of purchase, and
Routine 2-Year Service Check-ups to maintain guarantee validity.
This reflects our commitment to enduring quality and the care required to protect heirloom craftsmanship.
What’s Included
Craftsmanship guarantee for the life of the ring (material or joining failure, delamination, or structural faults).
One complimentary resizing within 60 days of delivery (up to 2 sizes).
Stone tightening and secure setting inspection during the 2-year check-up service.
Finish restoration (e.g., mokume pattern refinishing, light surface polishing) as part of optional service appointments.
What’s Not Covered
The following are excluded from the Lifetime Guarantee:
Normal wear and tear (scratches, fading, oxidation).
Accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised repair.
Changes in finger size after the 60-day resizing period.
Chemical or environmental damage.
Cosmetic changes due to client preferences (e.g. altering patina or finish).
Service Check Requirement
To maintain your Lifetime Guarantee, your ring must be brought or shipped to us for a complimentary service inspection every 2 years. We will:
Assess wear and structural integrity.
Refinish and tighten stones if needed.
Document inspection and update your care record.
Failure to service your ring within the prescribed period may void the guarantee.
30-Day Change-of-Mind Policy
We understand that wedding ring decisions are deeply personal. If for any reason you change your mind:
You may return your unworn, undamaged ring within 30 days of receipt.
Items must be in original condition with all packaging, certificates, and documentation.
This applies only to non-custom or standard collection pieces.
Custom or personalised rings are not eligible for return unless faulty under the CGA.
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or misrepresented.
Resizing Policy
One complimentary resizing is available within 60 days of delivery.
Valid for up to two full sizes up or down, unless restricted by the ring design.
After 60 days, resizing services are available at a standard service fee.
Some Mokume Gane designs (especially with stone settings or intricate inlays) may have limits to resizing options. We will advise during your consultation.
Care Requirements
To ensure your ring remains beautiful and structurally sound:
Remove your ring during manual labour, exercise, swimming, or when exposed to chemicals.
Store separately to avoid contact with harder gemstones or metals.
Clean gently with mild soap and a soft cloth. Do not use ultrasonic or abrasive tools unless instructed.
Bring your ring for biennial service inspections to uphold your guarantee and maintain its elegance.
All customers receive a Jewellery Care Guide at time of purchase. Following this guide is essential to uphold your warranty.
Your Rights Under NZ Law
This policy does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986. If your ring is faulty, misrepresented, or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a free repair, replacement, or refund as per New Zealand consumer law.​
